Fun trailer for the Christmas horror slasher comedy IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE

The first trailer for the upcoming holiday slasher horror comedy has been released It’s a wonderful knifewhich comes from the writer of the horror comedy Capricious, Michael Kennedyand is directed by Tyler MacIntyre (Girls of tragedy).

The film is a version of a slasher horror film It’s a wonderful life as the protagonist wishes she had never been born. The director explains in an interview with EW: “It’s a Wonderful Knife is a reimagining of the classic It’s a wonderful life. She’s about a young woman named Winnie Carruthers who lives in a town obsessed with Christmas. There’s this tragedy that hits the town and she rises to the occasion, but her best friend gets killed. We jump forward a year, and she’s wracked with guilt, and she’s unable to move forward, and in the spiral she ends up expressing this wish that maybe things would be better if she didn’t exist. She wakes up in a nightmare version of this town, and there are a lot of other people dead, and it’s up to her to solve this mystery before it’s too late.”

Movie stars Jane Widdop (Yellow jackets), who takes over the lead role from Winnie Carruthers, with Joel McHale (Community) will play Winnie’s father, David, and Justin Long (Barbarian) as the town’s patron, Mr. Waters.

The story is set in idyllic Angel Falls: “One year after saving her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve, Winnie Carruthers’ life is far from wonderful, but when she wishes she’d never been born, she finds himself in a nightmare. parallel universe and discovers that without her, things could be much, much worse. Now the killer is back and she must team up with the town misfit to identify him and return to her reality.”
