CEO of DC Studios James Gunn he confirmed that he is currently writing Peacock producer Season 2. Gunn shared a behind-the-scenes video from Peacemaker Season 1 on Instagram, and a fan asked about the status of Season 2. Gunn responded, “Writing now.”
One fan also asked Gunn if season 2 will take place in the new DCU/new continuity, or if it will at least be addressed. “Yes and yes,” Gunn replied.
Gunn has to be one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. He not only runs a studio, but also writes and directs several DC projects, including Commando of creatures, Superman: Legacy, PacifierA Amanda Waller spin-off, and I’m sure it has a few more things to do as well. On top of that, he manages to find time to read and post stuff on social media.
There are no details on the Season 2 story, but Gunn teased his future plans for cameos next season, saying, “I think we’ll see more connections in some other things as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows at HBO Max. So those [cameos] it will keep coming. I don’t know if the Justice League will appear in every season of Peacemaker; it could be a one-off thing. We will see!”
The series is the protagonist John Cena as a peacemaker, Steve Agee like Economos, Jennifer Holland in the role of Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji like Murn, Danielle Brooks like Adebayo, and Freddie Stroma in the role of Vigilante.
