Academy Award winning actress Angelina Jolie (Girl interrupted, Maleficent) starred in Marvel’s 2021 box office flop Eternals, and we haven’t heard from him since. Although she worked side by side for many years, Jolie took a slower approach to her work as an actress and launched another career by creating a clothing line that she was able to develop together with her children.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Jolie talked about what she’s been doing and what her work looks like these days, saying, “I’m still figuring out who I am at 48. I think I’m in transition as a person. I’m feeling a little down these days. I haven’t felt like myself in a decade, in a way I don’t want to get into.”
He added that he started doing fewer film jobs “seven years ago, only taking jobs that didn’t require long shoots. We had a lot of healing to do. We’re still finding our balance.” Her clothing line, Atelier Jolie, is part of this process. “I think part of this has also been therapeutic for me: working in a creative space with people you trust and rediscovering yourself,” she says. “I hope to change many aspects of my life. And this is the one facing forward.
It makes sense that as a single mom she tries to slow down and work on multiple projects that fit her life and schedule. She will later be credited for returning to voice Tigress in the animated sequel Kung Fu Panda 4which will be released in theaters on March 29, 2024. He is also in pre-production on the film Mary, in which she will play the opera singer Maria Callas; as well as the sequel Maleficent 3; and the adapted film Every note playedin which he will star Christoph Waltz.
