A clip has been released for an upcoming horror film titled The ultimate video store, which is said to be “a love letter to the video store era.” The film centers on a cursed VHS tape that unleashes nightmarish, murderous terror. This clip is the first footage that has been released for the film.
The story revolves around a character named Nyla, “who accidentally discovers a ‘cursed’ VHS tape. A film has the power to connect the real world to a dimension where cinematic fantasy exists as reality. Nyla and the video store owner unwittingly awaken a long-dormant curse that unleashes a series of classic cinematic villains plucked from the bowels of B-movies themselves.
The clip offers an explanation of the curse and looks like it will be a fun standalone horror film! The film comes from the director duo Cody Kennedy AND Tim Rutherfordwhich finished production on the film in the Canadian port city of Hamilton.
