An anime trailer called “The Final Test” from a world-famous language learning app has been officially made available on a banned social network.
Duolingo conceived the project as a way to explore the brand in a new way through the anime format, in addition to supporting the updated Japanese language course that was recently rolled out to all users. It will be available on YouTube on October 13.
The green owl duo, familiar to many, acted as the main characters, and the main events developed around it. The plot chronicles the beginning of Duo and his friends’ journey before they become the guardians of the “streak”, that is, consecutive days spent practicing in the app. The company will publish the series in collaboration with Titmouse, which worked on Metalocalypse and The Legend of Vox Machina. Episodes will be one minute long and will be dubbed in Japanese and subtitled in nine languages, including English, French, Spanish, Korean and Thai.
Duolingo, a language learning app, was launched in 2011. It was developed by computer scientists Luis von Ahn from Guatemala and Severin Hacker from Switzerland. Von Ahn saw how expensive it was to learn English in his home country and wanted to create a tool that would make education accessible to everyone.
By the way, we have previously written that we are aware of the new Vibes application, where the content is created entirely by artificial intelligence.
