A new clip from THE FALL OF THE HOUSE USHER features all the major players in the story

Mike Flanaganit’s the next Netflix The Fall of the House of Usher it’s coming next month and so far everything I’ve seen looks great. Now, today we have a new clip to share with you titled “Meet the Ushers”, which introduces us to all the major players in the story. The series tells the story of a pharmaceutical dynasty that begins to crumble as its members die, one by one.

The series is said to be an epic story of greed, horror and tragedy. Edgar Allen Poe’s short story “The Fall of the House of Usher” serves as the basis for the show, and the modern retelling of the story also draws inspiration from Poe’s other works.

The series synopsis reads: “In this wicked 8-episode limited series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have transformed Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But secrets from the past come to light when the heirs of the Usher dynasty begin dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.

The ensemble cast includes Carla Gugino (Gerald’s Game, The Haunting of Hill House), Mary McDonnell (Screams 4), Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep), AND Marco Hamill. Gugino previously shared that the series is “crazy in the best way possible. It has a lot of very dark humor, but it also really touches the soul. Now we have a little taste of what he’s talking about in this recently released trailer.

The series is also the protagonist Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Willa Fitzgerald, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney AND Robert Longstreet.

Mike Flanagan AND Michele Fimognari each directed four episodes of the series. Netflix announced that the series will premiere on October 12, 2023.
