Jean claude van damme is coming to the world of Mortal combatand NetherRealm has released a new one Mortal Combat 1 which features footage of Van Damme in action as a character skin for Johnny Cage.
It’s really cool to see Van Damme all dressed up in his Bloodsport inspired gear but with Johnny Cage mannerisms. The footage shows the character fighting and doing the classic splits move while punching his opponent in the groin. It’s pretty funny.
Van Damme joins Megan Fox In Mortal Combat 1who was revealed to provide Nitara’s voice and likeness.
It is explained that the game will “introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat universe created by the fire god Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters like they’ve never been seen before, along with a new battle system, game modes, bone finishing moves krush and more.
The Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage is part of the Kombat Pack, along with early access to six new playable downloadable content (DLC) characters: Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander (who are all available post-launch) – and five new Kameo Fighters (available post-launch). The Kombat Pack is available as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition and Kollector’s Edition, which can be pre-ordered now.
Mortal Combat 1 arrives September 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
