Toho has released a new trailer for their upcoming film Godzilla minus one, which is the 30th Godzilla film they have made. It looks like it will be a great Godzilla movie and it will be the first Godzilla movie to be produced in Japan since Shin Godzilla in 2016, which was pretty amazing! Toho is definitely making better Godzilla movies than Legendary is making in America. Those last two movies sucked. Toho simply knows how to tell a great Godzilla story.
Toho president Koji Ueda also released the following statement: “Set in post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show us a Godzilla who is a terrifying and overwhelming force.”
The trailer reveals, “After the war, Japan’s economic situation has been reduced to zero. Godzilla appears and throws the country into a negative state.”
The film was written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, and the trailer shows Godzilla attacking the city in full rage as people try to figure out how to stop him. But the monster is on a rampage of death and chaos. Damn… can’t wait to see this movie!
Godzilla minus one will be released in US theaters on December 1st.
