A roster of new cast members has been added to the standalone TV series Hal & Harperfrom Cha Cha True Smooth director Cooper RaiffIncluded Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), Lily Reinhart (Riverdale), Addison Timlin (Blackouts), AND Havana Rosa Liu (No Exit). Raiff will write, direct and star in the series.
There are no official details on the series, which is said to be a comedic family drama. Raiff has spoken Hal & Harper, which was a passion project he’s been working on for years. During a 2020 interview related to his first feature film Shit housewhich premiered at Sundance, said Hal & Harper follows two brothers and a single father who is making them grow up too fast, so fast that 7- and 9-year-olds would be played by adult actors.
Reinhart and Raiff are believed to play brothers Harper and Hal, respectively. Ruffalo plays the father, Deadline reports. Timlin is said to play Audrey and Liu Abby. Raiff is producing alongside producing partner Clementine Quittner through Small Ideas, the company they launched last year.
It really seems like a great idea for the series and the actors are solid. I look forward to checking it out and learning more once the strike is over.
