David Yost returns to the POWER RANGERS this September

Recently, Hasbro announced this Cosmic fury of the Power Rangers will premiere on Netflix on September 29. However, that’s not the only news fans are excited about Cosmic Fury. We were also able to see the new full opening credits of the new theme song of Berto Selen. There are many notes that fans can take from this video alone. First, the song is pretty funny. It definitely has the same musical DNA as the intro of Dino Fury, including some of the same jokes, but I like how it broke away from the constant use of “Go Go Power Rangers!” and he gave us some real words. He reminded me of some of the original theme songs.

There is another big reveal in the video though. David Yost will return to Power Rangers For Cosmic fury as Billy Cranston! We don’t know all the details on what Billy’s role will be, but Hasbro has shared this description:

As season 30 begins, Billy, the MMPR Blue Triceratops Ranger, joins the Dino Fury Rangers in their fight against the greatest threat the universe has known. Always a genius of technology and a master of logic, Billy’s help is essential for the Rangers in their battle against Lord Zedd. Billy’s expertise shines as the team comes together to repel both a galactic invasion and the potential undoing of all the good that came from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team.

That’s right, Lord Zedd is returning too. It seems to me that Billy will take on the role of mentor to the Cosmic Fury Rangers, but it also seems like he could help them a bit on the battlefield and transform into the Blue Ranger. Given Billy’s history in space, I think this is a very exciting prospect. I think it would be really cool if we had cameos this season from In Space, Lost Galaxy and Alien Rangers. It would make a lot of sense if you ask me, but I can also see how difficult it could be. Here is the official logline:

Lord Zedd has escaped and this time his fury extends to the farthest reaches of space! The Rangers must find new Zords and new powers to face Zedd’s latest threat, and they won’t be doing it alone. Along with some familiar faces, they’ll discover the power of the Cosmic Orbs and become the Cosmic Fury Rangers, armed with new uniforms, new weapons, and an all-new fleet of Zords! Come on come on Power Rangers!

Joining Yost is the returning cast from Dino Fury. We have Russell Curry like Zaito, Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones, Kai Moia as Ollie Akana, Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia, Chance Perez like Javi Garcia, Jordan Fito such as Aiyon, e Jacqueline Joe like Fern.
