Teaser Trailer for ROBODOC: THE CREATION OF ROBOCOP Docuseries Coming to SCREAMBOX This Month

SCREAMBOX has released a new trailer for its four-part docuseries RoboDoc – the creation of RoboCopand announced it will premiere on the streaming service on August 29.

The project has been in development for several years, so it’s great to see that it’s finally finished and will be released soon! I’m a huge fan of RoboCop and love that we’re getting an in-depth series that will explore the making of the cult film.

I remember being blown away by this movie when I first watched it with my friends when I was about 11 or 12. It was hands down the craziest and most violent movie I had seen at that time in my life and I loved every minute of it!

The series features interviews with “Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Ronny Cox, Ray Wise and Kurtwood Smith, director Paul Verhoeven, screenwriters Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner, special effects legend Phil Tippett and more, RoboDoc offers an in-depth look on the making and impact of 1987’s pioneering dystopian action classic. No doubt we’ll get plenty of great insights!

Here are the details of each of the episodes of the series:

The first episode, “Destination Delta City,” will air on August 29. Orion Pictures brings together a magnificent cast and crew who, unbeknownst to them, have signed up for a turbulent and career-defining journey.

Episode two, “Verhoeven’s Mantra,” airs September 5. Notoriously demanding mad-genius director Paul Verhoeven pushes the limits and expectations of many people with unprecedented shooting conditions.

Episode three, “Blood, Sweat & Steel,” airs September 12. The resilient cast and crew relive the golden era of hands-on, hands-on cinema in the 1980s.

Episode four, “Murphy & The Machine,” airs September 19. A cinematic icon breaks loose into the world, creating an indelible legacy with lasting memories for those involved in its production.

RoboDoc – the creation of RoboCop is co-directed by Chris Griffiths and Eastwood Allen and produced by Gary Smart. They have developed earlier Hollywood Dreams and Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, Pennywise: The Story of ITAND You’re So Cool, Brewster: The Story of Fright Night.

Allen said in a statement, “We’ve created something together to incorporate visuals and sound in an effort to immerse viewers in the world of 80s cinema and offer something completely unique to the ‘making of’ format.”

Griffiths added, “As a RoboCop fan for the past 30 years, this project has been a labor of love for me, and I can’t wait to share this unique project with fans, especially those who have stood by us through it all.” this years.”

“Part man, part machine, all cop, RoboCop burst onto the scene as the cinematic landscape began to change and artificial intelligence captured the public imagination. The boundary-pushing film has spawned an unlikely franchise that includes two sequels, an animated series, and a Hollywood remake, along with comic books, video games, toys, and merchandise galore.
