Marvel’s THUNDERBOLTS director teases film is a “very different perspective that maybe people aren’t expecting”

Marvel Studios’ Lightning will offer an insane team of characters, but what all fans are wondering is whether the story and script will actually be good because, in that regard, Marvel recently dropped the ball.

The film is directed by Jake Schreier (The beef) and during a recent interview with Collider, he teased his approach to the film and explained that he’s trying to approach the project from a different angle and offer something unexpected. He said:

“It was just a really different approach and a new kind of story to tell in between that, that I know they did so many things, but it’s not a sequel. Yeah, these characters have appeared before, but it’s a new story to be told.” and a story, I think, with a very different perspective that maybe people aren’t expecting, and I think it was exciting and a real challenge worth taking on.”

I really hope this movie ends up being great. I think the fans would love to see another win for Marvel, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

The film has a great ensemble cast which includes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Port as Red Guardian, Julie Louis-Dreyfus as Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as an agent of the United States, Hannah John Kamen like ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and of course Florence Pug as Yelena Belova. Then, there is Harrison Fordwho will take on the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will be the President of the United States in Captain America: New World Order. Ayo Edebiri he also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

We don’t know much about what the Thunderbolts story will entail, but we recently learned a new detail about the Thunderbolts team from Kevin Feigeand shared that Bucky Barnes is set to lead the team in the film.

Thunderbolts will premiere on July 26, 2023. The production of Lightning it was blocked due to the strikes.
