From August 9 to August 13, Meganom Creative Industries Academy (Tavrida.ART project) hosted a face-to-face module of the Fashion Brand Creation and Promotion training program, developed in partnership with the fashion house CHAPURIN and the fashion business scaling agency Shtab.

“Creating and promoting a fashion brand” is Meganom Academy’s long-term program that runs from August 1, 2023 to February 20, 2024. The course is in a hybrid format and upon completion the young designers are not only a “packaged” brand, but also an opportunity to collaborate with popular brands and apply for a job offer or funding for their own projects.

Creative Industries Academy “Meganom” is a new concept of educational environment for young representatives of culture, art and creative industries, opened in 2023 on the basis of the youth and educational facility “Tavrida.ART” (Rosmolodezh project). .


What is this course about?

The course “Creation and promotion of a fashion brand” covers all stages of creating a brand, from an idea to the creation and implementation of a product related to the modern realities of Russian business. Within the scope of this program, you can reveal the ideas, strengths and weaknesses of your product, determine the brand’s mission, create its basic meanings and positioning, learn to work in accordance with the production processes and create a scheme of interaction with the products. commercial structures.

According to business consultant Anton Kopylov, director of public relations and marketing of the CHAPURIN brand:

“Fashion is a creative idea, packaged with marketing tools, that in itself or purports to be unique. Moreover, fashion is impossible without business, because it is business and marketing that make fashion a global influence industry.”.



Among the students of the program, St. There are 30 designers from all over Russia, from St. Petersburg to Vladimir. The collections consist of casual wear, evening wear, underwear and pajamas with unusual cuts and fabrics, Fashion technical pieces, outerwear and capsules for preserving the cultural code – each designer embodies creative ideas in their own way and tries to find the most suitable niche. .

According to Victoria Zolotova, founder of Fashionovation, the main mistake of both young and established brands in the market is ignorance of their audience. In addition, many brands lack mission and values ​​and therefore cannot establish the right strategy and communication with the target audience:

“Often young designers stay at the creative level and are forced to move from the creative level to the business level.”

Victoria also believes that now is a golden time for brand promotion, when there are many free niches, resources that allow you to start a project. Young designers in Russia should create cool and high-quality products for their market. Then brands will have buyers who will love and support them.

The face-to-face module on the Meganom Creative Industries Academy’s site was devoted to market research and working with the uniqueness of the product. Fashion industry experts were: Fashionovation founder Victoria Zolotova, Fashion Industry business development specialist, Fashion Coaching course creator, former British Higher Design School teacher Nadezhda Sachek, veteran tracker Alexander Bakeev and others.


Within the scope of the program, the participants will explore the Russian clothing market, identify niche areas for their products, stand out from their competitors, view the product as a buyer, determine its advantages, and also target audience and brand mission. In addition, the designers took part in a business game aimed at improving entrepreneurial behavior and education.

The program was developed in partnership with the fashion business scaling agency Shtab specifically for young designers and Igor Chapurin, designer and founder of the CHAPURIN brand. Against this background, “Tavrida” specialist Igor Chapurin is mentoring a new generation of Russian creators.
