GODZILLA AND THE TITANS Series Gets First Photo and New Title MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS

Apple TV+ has announced that the new title of its Godzilla and the Titans the series is Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters. They also shared some photos that give us a first look at Godzilla in destructive action and some of the main characters.

This show is part of Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise and I just have to say that the original Godzilla and the Titans title is a much better title than the new one they announced. I don’t know why they changed it.

The series is set in the same universe Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: the king of monsters, Godzilla versus Kongand the upcoming sequel Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Spanning three generations, the series follows “the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and tracks down two brothers who follow in their father’s footsteps to discover their family’s connection to the secret organization known as the Monarch.”

It is explained that “The clues lead them into the world of monsters and eventually down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell AND Wyatt Russell), which takes place in the 1950s and half a century later, where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.

The series was developed by Chris Black AND Fraction MattAND Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Fantastic Four) directed the first two episodes. All three are also executive producers. Furthermore, Hiro Matsuoka AND Takemasa Arita executive producer on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., owner of the Godzilla character.

The cast also includes Anna Sawai (Pachino), Ren Watabe (461 days of Bento), Kiersey Clemons (Hearts beat fast), Joe Tippet (Easttown mare), Anders Holm (The Mindy Project), AND Elisa Lasowski.
