In 2021, Netflix released a western movie titled The harder they fall, which is a great movie that had great viewing numbers for the streaming service. Well, when a fan commented on social media wishing there was a second film in the works, the film’s director, Jeymes Samuel, he replied, saying: “There is.” So, that’s okay!
The first film has an impressive ensemble cast, which included Queen King, Idris Elba, LaKeith Stanfield, Jonathan Major, Zazie Beetz, RJ CylerAND Delroy Lindo.
In the film, “When outlaw Nat Love (Majors) learns that his enemy Rufus Buck (Elba) is about to be released from prison, he gathers his gang to track down Rufus and seek revenge. Those who ride with him in this confident and rightly new Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary (Beetz), his left and right men – Bill Pickett (Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (Cyler) – and a surprising adversary -became-ally. Rufus Buck has his fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (King) and Cherokee Bill (Stanfield), and they’re not a bunch he knows how to lose. Revenge has never been served colder.
The first movie doesn’t really leave the story open to a sequel, but the director obviously has another story he wants to tell, and it’ll be interesting to see what the story turns out to be. As you can imagine, there are no other details that have been shared, but you are thrilled to hear that we will be getting a sequel to The harder they fall?
