Warwick Davis would like to return to the STAR WARS universe and shares the surprising character he would like to play again

Warwick Davis is known for playing many roles in the Star Wars universe, starting with Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi when the actor was just 12, to which he returned in two TV movies. Davis played three roles in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, including Weazal, Wald and Yoda (as a stunt double). He also played Wollivan in Star Wars: The Force AwakensWeeteef Cyu-Bee inside Rogue One: A Star Wars StoryWodibin inside The Last JediWeazel back in Solo (as well as several droids), and Wizzich Mozzer in The Rise of Skywalker. In the television series Star Wars Rebelsvoiced Rukh.

He has a long and rich history within the Star Wars lore, and when asked at Danish outlet Moovy TV (via /Film) if he’d like to return to play Wicket again, the actor was eager to say he would love to return, but would be even happier to explore an unexpected character.

“I mean, I’ve been involved in ‘Star Wars’ ever since [‘Return of the Jedi’] in various forms. I’m often asked to go back and do some of the TV work. But yeah, something for Wicket would be fun, right? Although, let’s look at the other characters I’ve played, you know? I think there are some really interesting characters. Namely Weeteef from “Rogue One”, you know, what happened to him? Did it finally explode? I don’t remember now. It’s all confusing.”

Weeteef appears to have survived, as he appeared after a pivotal battle in A rogue one. Though it looks like the actor is ready to return to almost all of his Star Wars characters. He played a freedom fighter in Solo: A Star Wars Storyand said of that role: “[S]Some of those characters I played, like Weazel for example in ‘Solo’. You know, he’s quite an interesting character too, let’s find out what he’s up to.”

It seems like the Star Wars universe is ever-expanding and telling stories from all corners of the universe, so it’s likely we’ll see Davis return one day. Which of his characters would you most like to see him play again?
