Ben Affleck’s Batman would be cut out of AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM after filming

James Wan’S Aquaman and the lost kingdom has gone through multiple takes and in a recent report from THR, it says there have been a lot of issues with Ben AffleckBatman’s version of Batman and how it is used in the film. Apparently in this latest round of reshoots and recuts, Batman ended up on the cutting room floor.

The report also states that the latest cut of the film had input from DC Studio heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, and management approved a five-day shoot and Wan was able to complete what they needed in just four.

Apparently the reason Affflect was cut out of the film was because Gunn and Safran “don’t want to promise a cinematic universe that won’t come to fruition, nor tie it overly to past failures.” A source said, “It was pretty chaotic.”

Insiders say the filmmakers “were in landfills for the seemingly endless post-production process and recorded test scores.” But the fact that Warner Bros. is still willing to pump money into this movie says they have to have faith in it.

The first Aquaman movie made over a billion dollars, so perhaps they’re hoping that lightning strikes twice for the franchise. However, after seeing how the other DC movies performed at the box office The flash AND Shazam 2I’m not sure the Aquaman sequel will be the box office hit the studio hopes it will be.

In the film: “When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis and the world from irreversible devastation.”

The film will also see the return of Patrick Wilson like Orm, Amber heard like Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II such as Black Manta, e Randall Park as Stephen Shin. Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek also joined the cast in an undisclosed role, while Jani Zhao will play the new character Stingray, India Moore will play Karshon, and Vincent Regano will play Atlan.

Aquaman and the lost kingdom will be released in theaters on December 20.
