Paul Rudd AND Jenna Ortega will star in the film project A24 The death of a unicorn and will be able to work on the film during the writers’ and actors’ strike. Unions are allowing talent to work on some independent film projects, and this film is one of those projects.
According to a studio spokesperson, A24 is not part of the Alliance of Film and TV Producers. It means they can get on with shooting their own independent films.
Not much is known about the plot of Death of a Unicorn, but what we do know is that Rudd and Ortega will play a father and daughter who run over a unicorn on their way home.
The death of a unicorn will be directed by Alex Scharfmann, who will also write the screenplay, and filming is expected to start soon in Hungary. It’s good to see that at least independent films can continue production.
Death of a Unicorn does not currently have a release date.
