My brothers and I do a lot of cave exploration for fun and have been in some pretty intense and stressful situations. At one point my brother’s light went out on him as he stood over a giant pit. Luckily I was there with my light to help him out of the situation. But he had a moment of pure terror.
Anyway, I have here a video of ActionAdventureTwins spelunking brothers James and Edward finding and exploring an underground cave. While one of them is exploring alone, his headlamp suddenly goes out and he is in complete darkness. The video came with the note:
Never go caving without other light sources or it will happen
It gets insanely dark in these caverns, the darkest of darks, and when the lights go out, even if you turn them off on purpose, anxiety explodes! It’s like you can feel the darkness. It’s crazy. It’s also quite absurd that these guys had to find their way out of the cave in complete darkness. Crazy!
