First, there was the announcement of Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers. Releasing December 7, fans will be able to become Na’vi grown from the RDA set to explore a world unknown to them. You can customize your Na’vi, wield specialized weapons, engage in dogfights, and more. The game will be available to play on Amazon Luna, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Something that really caught my attention from Ubisoft was the announcement of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It’s like Ubisoft remembers that it has an IP outside of Assassin’s Creed AND Rainbow Six. Amazing! In The Lost Crown, players will take on the role of the warrior Sargon who must rescue a kidnapped prince from Mount Qaf where mystery and monsters abound. Interestingly enough, this will be a side-scrolling platformer, more in line with the original games. you can play The Lost Crown on January 18, 2024 on Nintendo Switch consoles, PC, PS4/5 and Xbox.
The Crew Motorfest was shown as a fun racing game on the island of O’ahu. There are a variety of campaigns for you to enjoy in the game that focus on different themes of car culture.
If you were waiting Skull and bones, you’ll be thrilled to hear that a closed beta will be held for PC players on August 25th. You can register now on the official website.
We will take a short detour into the world of animation. Netflix and Ubisoft have shared a first look at the new animated series Captain Laserhawk: A remix of Blood Dragon. The anime-inspired series launches on Netflix this fall and is full of references to the early 90s.
The last things we will talk about are the myriad of Assassin’s Creed elements. First, there’s a new VR experience called Assassin’s Creed Nexus which will allow you to embody three different characters: Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Kassandra and Connor. This will be available exclusively on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is a mobile game that will launch a public test later this summer and take place in China between Odyssey AND Origins. Finally, Mirage from Assassin’s Creed is set to launch on PC, PS4/5 and Xbox (affiliate link) consoles on October 12th. I’m personally really excited about this.
