So, I guess now directors are screwing up their own movies!? The flash director Andy Muschietti recently revealed a major spoiler regarding a cameo in his upcoming DC movie. It’s actually one of the best and most amazing cameos in the film! So, I don’t quite understand why it would ruin it for everyone!
If you don’t want to know, I suggest you don’t read ahead. Seriously, you really don’t want this cameo ruined for you. But if you want to know what Muschietti said, here you go.
As you know, the story for The flash opens up the multiverse in the DC Cinematic Universe and that means anything is possible. We already know there are multiple versions of Batman with Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, but now we know there will be a surprise version of Superman!
During a recent interview with Esquire Middle East’s William Mullally, the director revealed Nicolas Cage will play Superman in The flash! He said:
“Nic was absolutely wonderful. Even though the role was a cameo, he dove right into it. I’ve dreamed my whole life of working with him. I hope I can work with him again soon. He’s a huge fan of Superman. A comic book fanatic.”
I’ve seen the movie before, I’ve seen Nic Cage in action as Superman, and it’s one of the coolest parts of the movie! As you know, Cage was supposed to play Superman Tim Burton’S Superman lives over 25 years ago. Well, now after all these years, fans are actually going to see Cage as the Man of Steel, and that’s great! I won’t spoil any details for you about how his scenes play out, but you’re going to love it!
Remember when the first photo of Cage dressed as Superman surfaced? The fan community is erupting with all kinds of emotions. This was followed by more photos and even test footage. There has even been a documentary made about the unmade film called The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?!
Speaking earlier about the film, Cage explained why Superman lives is more powerful than any other Superman film: “I would offer that the film that Tim and I were going to make, in your imagination, is more powerful than any other Superman film. I didn’t even have to make the film and we all know what that would have been movie in your imagination. That’s the Superman. This is the movie. Even if you’ve never seen it, it’s the Superman.”
