Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass completes the SUPER MARIO ADVANCE collection

The Game Boy Advance library available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscribers is growing this week. Three Super Mario Advance titles are added that complete the collection. These were GBA remakes of the classic Super Mario games: Super Mario Advance era Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 era Super Mario worldAND Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 era Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. I’ll be honest, this is a bit lackluster given that the original games are already available on Nintendo Switch Online. I guess what’s new from the originals is that each one includes an updated version of Mario Bros. which can be played with up to four players online. What do you think of these additions?

• Super Mario Advance: Throw vegetables (and much more) at enemies with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad in this enhanced version of the Super Mario Bros ™ 2 game for NES™! In Subcon, the land of dreams, Mario and his friends each have their own distinct abilities to help them in the adventure: Luigi jumps higher, Peach can hover over obstacles, Toad can grab objects faster than anyone, and Mario is an all-rounder that is great in any situation. This Game Boy Advance™ version of Super Mario Bros. 2 also contains more surprises to discover and challenges to face, including one with Yoshi. Wa-hoo!

• Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 – Bowser has taken over Dinosaur Island and it’s up to Mario and Luigi to stop him, but they’re not alone, because Yoshi is ready for the journey! All the levels, secrets and power-ups from Super NES™ Super Mario World are here along with additional features and surprises. This Game Boy Advance classic also includes the ability to play the entire adventure as Luigi with his Super Mario Advance abilities. Those Chargin’ Chucks won’t know what hit them when they meet this high-jumping bro!

• Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 – Yoshi is back, baby! Colorful worlds, giant bosses, secrets and enemies galore await you in this Game Boy Advance version of the Super NES classic that first introduced Baby Mario. Join a flock of multicolored Yoshis and rescue the little Mario brothers from the clutches of the evil Magikoopa Kamek in this vibrant egg-throwing adventure. Just be sure to keep an eye on the baby – he might be cute, but he’s a total crybaby!
