Quentin Tarantino says he was “born to make” slasher movies, Collider writes.
Director Quentin Tarantino considers the two parts of “Kill Bill” as a single whole and therefore may make another film. Otherwise, he would have backed himself into a corner by announcing that he would retire after making 10 feature films. Tarantino is already trying to find loopholes in this self-limitation. He writes books, thinks about long stories and even theatre. However, he has not yet announced what his last film will be. Meanwhile, Kill Bill: Volume 1 is gaining popularity with viewers in the US streaming it on the free streaming service Pluto.
According to FlixPatrol, Kill Bill 1 was the fifth most popular movie on the Pluto charts, behind Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather at the top. The film was released to positive reviews in 2003, and Kill Bill: Volume 2 was released a year later. The two films grossed over $300 million worldwide against a combined budget of $60 million. Kill Bill 1 was the more successful of the two films, grossing $180 million worldwide.
As Tarantino puts it: “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is my favorite movie, and “Inglourious Basterds” is my best movie. But I think Kill Bill is Quentin’s perfect movie and no one else can do it. Everything in it, down to the smallest detail, is taken from my imagination, my subconscious, my love, my passion, my obsessions. That’s why I think Kill Bill is the movie I was born to make, Inglourious Basterds is my masterpiece, but Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is my favorite movie.”
It was previously known that “Kill Bill” would be released in theaters in its full version for the first time in 20 years.
