Paramount has released a trailer for an upcoming action-adventure comedy titled Sheroes. The film follows four friends as they embark on a road trip to Thailand to have some fun, but after one of them is kidnapped, they must band together, exploit their meanness, and leap into action to save their friend!
Isabelle Fuhrmann (Orphan: First kill), Sasha Luss (Anna), Wallis Day (Batwoman), AND Skai Jackson (At the castle) stars in the “adrenaline-pumping thrill ride”, and comes from the producer of spring breakers. The film was written and directed by a first-time director Jordan Gertnerand directly stole the dialogue from Liam Neeson’S Taken, which is strange. I guess it’s done on purpose, but they don’t really acknowledge that it’s supposed to be a joke.
In the story, “When four thieving friends arrive in Thailand for a hedonistic adventure, they quickly find themselves out of whack when one of them is kidnapped by a notorious drug lord. As they fight to survive and protect each other, they will employ their unique skills and unleash their fierce loyalties in a thrilling battle for survival.
Sheroes will be in select US theaters and VOD June 23, 2023. The movie doesn’t look great, but maybe some people will like it.
