Here’s a creepy stop-motion animated short to watch that will blow your mind. It is entitled Everyone goes to the hospital and tells the story of a 4-year-old girl named Little Mata as she is taken to the hospital in late 1963 with appendicitis.
The film is said to be based on a true story and comes from writer and director Tiffany Kimmel and is the story of her mother. It explores physical, psychological, and family trauma, and Kimmel said in a statement, “In making this film, I wanted to capture the storybook-like quality I experienced hearing this story as a child.”
Kimmel went on to say that she wanted “her mother’s childhood experience to play out in the doll-like way she told it, like an unprocessed traumatic fable, while also carrying a warning to others to believe their children and to be close to him”.
I’ve never been a fan of going to the hospital and watching this short definitely doesn’t help!
