Searchlight Pictures has released a trailer for an upcoming indie comedy Theatrical field. This movie caused quite a stir at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, but I didn’t get a chance to see it. Sounds like a fun movie!
Ben Platt AND Molly Gordon they star in the film as Amos and Rebecca-Diane – “lifelong best friends and drama teachers in a rundown camp in upstate New York. When clueless tech brother Troy (Jimmy Tatro) arrives to manage the property (in the ground), Amos, Rebecca-Diane and production manager Glenn (Noah Galvin) along with staff and students, staging a masterpiece to keep their beloved summer camp afloat.
The film was directed by Nick Liebermann AND Molly Gordonand the cast also includes Patti Harrison, Nathan Lee Graham, Ayo Edebiri, Owen Thiele, Alan Kim, Alexander Bello, Bailee Bonick, Kyndra Sanchez, Donovan Colan, Vivienne Sachs, Quinn Titcomb, Caroline Aaron, AND Amy Sedaris.
Theatrical camp will be released in theaters on July 14.
