The hype continues to build for DC Studios’ next film The flash with Stephen King sharing his reaction to the film. King may not care for superhero movies, but he’s had nothing but rave praise for The Flash. The author of the horror shared on Twitter:

“Today I received an advance screening of THE FLASH. Normally I don’t really like superhero movies, but this one is special. It’s sincere, funny and mind-blowing. I loved him.”

It’s really good to hear the master of horror! Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said earlier this year that he too “loved” the film and James Gunn called it “one of the greatest superhero films ever made – a masterpiece”. Tom Cruise he loved it so much that he “cold-called” the film’s director “to be thrilled.”

Almost everyone who saw The flash he loved it… including myself. I can honestly tell you the hype is real! This movie 100% delivers on something special and by the end of the movie, DC fans will shed tears of joy. You might be thinking… “Really!? How is that possible?” Well, I could tell you, but it’s something you’ll have to experience for yourself when you see the movie.

Here is King’s tweet:

The official logline reads: “Worlds collide on The Flash as Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry is trapped in a reality where General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to, unless Barry can convince a very different Batman to come out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian…even if not what he’s been looking for. Ultimately, to save the world he finds himself in and return to the future he knows, Barry’s only hope is to run for his life. But will the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe? “

The film is the protagonist Ezra Miller as Barry Allan aka The Flash, Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Sasha Calle as Kara aka Supergirl, Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Shannon like Zod, with Ron Livingstone AND Maribel Verduwho play Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personalities Rudy Mancuso will also appear.

THE Andy MuschiettiThe directed film will be released on June 16, 2023.
