This will be the first film Gibson has directed since the 2016 WWII film Hacksaw crest, which was a great movie! I like the movies Gibson directs and I’m surprised he hasn’t directed more. So, it’s great to see him back behind the camera.
The announcement came from Joe Drake, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, who said: “We adore the undeniable electric duo of Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg. These world-class talents coming together for this dynamic, character-driven film will make Flight Risk one of the most suspenseful and must-see events of the year.
Wahlberg recently completed filming on Netflix The Union with Halle Berry. Gibson’s next high-profile project is the Peacock Series The Continentalset in the world of John Wick.
