Sony Pictures has screened the very first footage from its upcoming Marvel film Kraven the hunter, and this movie appears to be brutally insane! It was announced that the film will be rated R, and the footage we saw was super violent, and I know for a fact that the audience in attendance didn’t expect the film to be so hardcore. In Kraven the hunter, Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff is on a mission to prove he’s the greatest hunter in the world. Taylor-Johnson called the JC Chandor-directed project “a Marvel film strongly rooted in the real world. We know he is a fierce hunter, a highly trained killer. He then answered the “biggest question on the internet” by saying…”F**k yeah, it’s going to be R-rated!”
JC Chandor is directing the film from a script by Mark art AND Matt Holloway (Iron man), and recites Aaron Taylor Johnson like Kraven, Ariana DeBose like Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger like Chameleon, Alexander Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, AND Take 22 star Christopher Abbott as the main villain, The Foreigner.
Kraven the hunter hits theaters October 6, 2023.
