I’ve heard from two of my sources that this news story may actually be legit. But nothing is official until Marvel makes the official announcement, and that announcement will most likely happen this summer at San Diego Comic-Con.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Driver was Marvel’s “top casting choice” for the role. Shortly thereafter, he was apparently meeting with the studio. Unsurprisingly, Driver has a strong relationship with Disney, and it’s not hard to imagine him playing Richards.

Adam Driver has the acting skills, physical looks, and range needed to bring to life a great version of Reed Richards in the MCU. With his talent and his experience, he was able to add a new level of depth and complexity to the character, making him a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, is the head of the Fantastic Four family, a team of superheroes who gained their powers after being exposed to cosmic rays during a space mission. Richards is known for his incredible intelligence and scientific knowledge, as well as his ability to stretch and contort his body to incredible lengths. Throughout his comic book history, Richards has been involved in some major and major story arcs and has played a pivotal role in the Marvel Universe as a whole of him.

Kevin Feige previously said that Marvel’s first family will be a big pillar of the future of the MCU after their introduction. He said, “Fantastic Four is the foundation for everything that has come since in comics. There have definitely been versions of it [on screen], but never inhabiting the MCU narrative. And that’s something that’s really exciting for us. People will start hearing about it soon. We plan to be a big mainstay of the MCU in the future, just like they’ve been in the comics for 50 or 60 years.

Marvel producer Stephen Brussard he previously promised that the film will be a true celebration of the comic book source material: “I don’t assume I know everything about that film; I’m not necessarily working on it. But one of the founding principles of Marvel, going back to Iron Man and Tony’s casting that I think resonated today, is to embrace the source material and these comics that have been around forever. They are older than me and I guess they are also older than you. I’ve been around for a while for a reason, [so we] lean on that.

Matt Shakman ( Wanda Vision) is directing the film, and Jodie Comer she is rumored to be in talks to play Sue Storm. Both Driver and Comer have worked together at Ridley Scott movie, The last duel.

Would you like to see Driver play the role of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four?
