A reboot of the 90s TV series Baywatch it’s in the works at Freemantle. The beach drama was among the most popular of its time, running for eleven seasons including a move to Hawaii for subsequent seasons, becoming one of the most watched shows in the world, particularly internationally before the launch of the Baywatch nights spin off. There was also Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding, a two-hour reunion film that aired on Fox and the 2017 film starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

No one is attached to the new series just yet, as it’s early in development, but the studio assures it’s moving forward.
I don’t know if anyone will actually watch it, unless they make it more of a drama leaning towards medical care on the beach, like a 9-1-1 type show. Hopefully they can take this seriously and develop a lifeguard show based more on jobs and less on bodies.
