In the picture, a woman (Witherspoon) planning her sister’s (Hagner) perfect wedding and the father (Ferrell) of a young bride-to-be (Viswanathan) discover that they have been double-booked for their wedding at a remote location. Resort on an island off the coast of Georgia. When both parties decide to share the small hall, chaos ensues and disaster awaits.
Cameras will be rolling in Atlanta in May.
Stoller also wrote the screenplay. Producers are Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez, Stoller and Conor Welch for Stoller Global Solutions, and Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. EPs include Hello Sunshine’s Ashley Strumwasser and Gloria Sanchez’s Alex Brown.
Viswanathan made a big impression in Universal’s R-rated teen comedy blockers, which earned $94 million at the worldwide box office.
