Roadside Attractions has released a fun trailer for the upcoming satirical comedy A fool’s paradise. The film is the protagonist Charlie Day, which also marks his feature film directorial debut with the project. It looks great and is sure to deliver entertaining comedy! I’m sold!

The film tells the story of a down-on-his-luck publicist, “who gets his lucky break when he discovers that a man recently released from a mental health facility looks exactly like a method actor who refuses to leave his trailer. With the help of a powerful producer, the publicist helps the man become a huge star, even marrying his beautiful leading lady. Their adventures lead them to cross paths with drunken costars, irreverent homeless action heroes, unpredictable directors, super agents and power-hungry moguls. Fame and fortune aren’t all they want to be, and the two men must fight their way back to the things that matter most.
He seems to be a riff on Charlie Chaplin and also enjoys making fun of Hollywood ridicule. The film also features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Ken Jeong, Ray Leotta, Kate Beckinsale, Adrian Brody, Jason Sudeikis, Ed Falco, Jason Bateman, Common, Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Jimmy SimpsonAND John Malkovich.
A fool’s paradise will be released in theaters on May 12, 2023.
