Netflix’s ARCANE season 2 update explains why we have to wait so long for it to be released

The first season of Netflix League of Legends animated series, Arcane, was so damn amazing and was such a huge hit that it got a second season renewal. That was over a year ago, and while fans like me were hoping Season 2 would arrive this year, we’ll have to wait a little longer.

CEO of Riot Games Nicholas Laurent he recently offered an update in a recent interview, saying we’ll have to wait until 2024 for the next season. Laurent went on to explain why the release will take longer:

“It’s not ready yet and there [are] two reasons for this. One, you want quality. We just don’t want to rush and therefore it takes time. So that’s the good reason. The bad reason is, honestly, we didn’t know if Season 1 was going to be a hit, so we didn’t start Season 2 until [later]. Had I known, we could have started Season 2 much earlier. But we didn’t know that, so we waited a bit and now we’re paying the price. So unfortunately, it won’t be this year.”

You know what? I’m fine with waiting as long as that means we get another high quality Season 2! The first season told such a strong story and the art and animation style was amazing! I just want the creative team to do whatever it takes to deliver another great season of the story!

The series is set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underworld of Zaun, and the story follows “the origins of two iconic League champions and the power that will tear them apart.” Those two characters are Vi and Jinx, sisters who find themselves at loggerheads after a series of tragic and unfortunate events.

The characteristics of the series Hailee Steinfeld like Vi, Katie Leung like Catlyn, Kevin Alejandro as Jayce, Jason Spisak like Silco, Ella Purnell like jinx, Toks Olagundoe like Mel, JB Blanc such as Vander, e Harry Lloyd like Victor.
