New Prime Video cast members announced The wonderful Mrs. Maisel Season 5 with the addition of Hank Azaria (The Simpsons), Sutton Foster (The music man), Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Danny Forte (Stupid) AND Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy).

They merge David Paymerwho is returning to reprise his role as Harry Drake, and Alessandro Gemignani (Carousel) who was cast in a highly recurring role in season five. Character details for most of the new cast members have not been revealed.
Strong and Gunn previously worked with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino on Gilmore Girls, and Sutton Foster recorded “I Enjoy Being a Girl” for the third season of Mrs. Maisel and also starred in Sherman-Palladino’s Bunheads.
The series is set in the late 1950s and “Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel has everything she ever wanted: the perfect husband, two kids and a posh apartment on New York’s Upper West Side. Her seemingly idyllic life takes a surprising turn when she discovers a hidden talent she didn’t previously know she had: stand-up comedy. This revelation changes her life forever as she begins a journey that takes her from her comfortable life on the Upper West Side through the cafes and nightclubs of Greenwich Village as she makes her way through the city’s comedy industry on a path that ultimately it might lead her to a spot on the ‘Tonight Show’ couch.
The synopsis for the fifth season reads: “After burning ties and being cut from the tour, Midge Maisel has endured throughout the fourth season, rebuilding her career and her reputation. The final moments of the season culminated with Midge leaving Carnegie Hall reinvigorated and ready to weather any blizzard. After an epiphany in front of the snow-covered billboard of The Gordon Ford Show, Midge is ready to “Move On” and fight for her rise to stardom, equipped with her wit and sharp tongue, and nothing else to lose. In the fifth and final season, Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to find that closer than she ever is she’s still so far away.
The main stars of the series include the series includes Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron AND Luke Kirby.
The fifth and final season of The wonderful Mrs. Maisel premiering Friday, April 14 on Prime Video.
