Director Zack Snyder took to Instagram and shared some behind-the-scenes photos of not only his next passion project, The last photographbut also from all his work, including his time at DC.
Earlier this week, we shared a post from Snyder where he gave us a never-before-seen look at Henry Cavill in black and white from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Now he has shared a photo of his film counterpart, Ben Affleckas Batman. The image is not a still from the film, but a shot prepared specifically for a small shoot between the actor and the director.
Snyder said of the photo: “One of my favorite Batman photos. I shot it with my Leica Monochrom. We built that little set specifically for these portraits.”
It’s a great shot and it’s fun to revisit some of the director’s favorite memories from his previous films.
Snyder’s next project, The last photographis currently in development. The official synopsis of the film reads:
“A former DEA agent must return to the mountains of South America in an attempt to find his missing grandchildren following the brutal murder of their diplomat parents.
“Thanks to the help of a drug-addicted war photographer, the only person to have seen the faces of the assassins sets off, determined to find the children and the truth, but soon discovers that he must also face the ghosts of his past.
“Their journey into the unknown takes them further and further from civilization, questioning everything they believe, slowly eroding the distinction between the real and the surreal.”
Stay tuned for updates on the project and check out Snyder’s post below:
