A teaser trailer for the movie Peacock has been released Falling starswhich is a coming-of-age biopic about the life of the great NBA LeBron James. The film is directed by the Emmy nominee Chris Robinson (Grown up) from a script written by Frank E. Fiori (Manila Metro), Tony Rettenmaier (Space Jam: A New Legacy), AND Juel Taylor (Creed II). The film features the small forward of the five-star high school Marquis “Mookie” Cook in his acting debut as a young LeBron James.

The film also stars Caleb McLaughlin (Stranger things) as Lil Dru; Avery S. Wills, Jr. (Bravado) as Willie McGee; Khalil Everage (Cobra Kai) as Sian Cotton; Harris wood (I believe film) as Dru Joyce; Dermot Mulroney (August: Osage County); and newcomer Sterling “Scoot” Henderson as Romeo Travis.

The synopsis reads:

“Falling stars is set in the 1990s, where a young LeBron James and his three best friends – Lil Dru, Willie McGee and Sian Cotton – declare themselves the “Fab Four”, after the Michigan Wolverines’ famous “Fab Five” of that era. From the moment we meet them, we know that this group of friends, under the leadership of coach Dru Joyce, are connected by more than just basketball. So when the coach of their district’s top basketball school threatens to tear them apart by placing Lil Dru in junior school, the Fab Four decide to switch schools so they can play together, instead joining the team at a predominantly white Catholic school. . The community takes it as an insult, but the boys’ mutual dedication is more important than anything else. With their new coach, a disgraced former college coach looking for redemption, the boys, along with former rival and new teammate Romeo Travis, will face battles not only on the field but in real life, in their quest to become national champions, and you’ll rediscover that what matters most in the game is the people playing next to you.

It looks like it’s going to be a really big sports movie. The cast and story are solid and it seems like it has a lot of heart. The film will be available to stream on Peacock on June 2. Watch the trailer below:
