Last November, Netflix announced that they are developing a live-action film and animated series based on the hit video game Gears of war. Now, the streaming service has announced that the live-action film will be adapted from Jon Spaihts (Dune). Spaihts has quite the resume, so he could very well be up for the challenge. Some video game adaptations have been great Sonic the hedgehog and others have been just awful. Hopefully this again Gears of War the movie is the first. Sharing his enthusiasm, Spaihts said:
