A character in which I do not expect to see The Rise of the Evil Dead AND Bruce Campbell’s Ash Williams as the film focuses on a whole new set of characters. Additionally, Bruce Campbell has made it very clear in recent years that he has retired from playing Ash in any live-action project. But it turns out Campbell has a small cameo in the film!

During a recent interview with Empire. director Lee Cronin anticipated that Bruce Campbell is “hidden somewhere in the film”. He adds, “Bruce has a small presence in the film. The first person to figure it out and tweet me, I’ll give them $50.”
Cronin went on to talk about not having Ash in the film: “It felt like in order to move the franchise to a new place and unlock the universe’s potential to tell more stories, it needed to break free [of Ash].”
The director also spoke about the energy of the horror film: “One of the things I knew was that this film had to have energy. We’re coming off a very successful spell for horror, where many movies have played into the existential as perhaps their main impetus. The way I see Evil Dead movies is [as] a good time to eat popcorn. Bringing it back to Evil Dead II, if there’s anything I would think of it would be the relentless creativity in that film, to refresh the experience as you go.
In the film, “a road-weary Beth pays a belated visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three children alone in a cramped Los Angeles apartment. The sisters’ reunion is interrupted by the discovery of a mysterious book deep within Ellie’s building, which gives rise to flesh-possessing demons and thrusts Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood. imaginable.”
The film was produced by Sam Raimiwho had previously anticipated that the film would be “terrifying” and would “go astound people”. Bruce Campbell also said that The Rise of the Evil Dead it will be a “much more heartbreaking” experience emotionally, and you can feel it in this trailer!
The film is the protagonist Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings) AND Lily Sullivan (Picnic at Hanging Rock).Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), Morgan Davis (end), AND Nell Fisher (Splendid isolation). The Rise of the Evil Dead is slated to hit theaters on April 21, 2023.
