‘Easter Sunday’ Trailer: Getting Ready for Family Vacation Madness with Jo Koy, Tiffany Haddish, Jimmy O. Yang & More

It’s been a year since Easter, but Joe Coe brought the chaos of the family drama to summer Easter SundayThe premiere will take place on August 5.

Universal released its first trailer on Thursday. Easter Sunday. Clip: Contains predominantly Filipino karaoke sessions, fish lady Boxes and family drama – Introducing Koi Josep, a well-established actor who travels with his son (Brandon Wardell) to the Bay Area to celebrate family Easter.

“Easter Sunday is like a Filipino Super Bowl,” says the Koi character.

But when father and son arrive, a conflict develops between Josep’s mother and Tita Teresa before the annual party celebration. Josep tries to keep the family afloat despite unprecedented family bullshit.

“Moments like this are rare. Let’s enjoy it,” he said.

Easter SundayA love letter to the Filipino-American community and inspired by Koi’s life experiences, starring Jimmy O. Young, Tia Carrer, Brandon Wardell, Tony nominees Eva Noblezada, Lydia Gaston, Asif Ali, Rodney To, Eugene Cordero, Jay Chandrasekhar, Tiffany Headish and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Chandrasekhar is led by Ken Cheng. The film is produced by Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with executive producers Koi, Jessica Gao, Young, Cheng, Joe Mello, Nick Reynolds and Seth William Meyer. Amblin Partners and Universal own the rights abroad.
