The prequel to one of HBO’s best series premiered for the same stream in 2022, becoming one of the best of the year; No doubt, ‘House of The Dragon’ has caught the attention of audiences and fans of George RR Martin’s fantasy stories and as soon as the first episode arrived, a second season was confirmed, anticipating the success it would have. Now, it has been confirmed that the second season of ‘The House of the Dragon’ will premiere in 2024.
It won’t be long before the premiere of ‘House of The Dragon’ which is confirmed to arrive on the HBO Max streaming service in 2024, without revealing yet the exact date in which we would see the continuation of the prequel of ‘Game of Thrones’. Second Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO Max, it is possible that the series will hit screens next year, and it is almost certain, but not concrete, that its debut will be in May.
Despite the hope and excitement that a second season of the series generates for fans of all its homes, especially the targaryens which is what the prequel is based on, there are some changes that may not benefit the production. HOTD will include new actors in its second season as well as some script changes which, Sara Hess confirms, so far the development won’t be able to disappoint any fans.

In its first season, the prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ is inspired by the origin of the Dance of the Dragonsdeveloping the civil war experienced by the family that ruled Westeros at that time, the Targaryens and how they gained their inheritance and power during and after the command of King Viserys I, played by Paddy Considine.
After the king’s death, the story revolves around his eldest daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy). For the second installment, however, there would still be a lot to see and, despite the changes that the script will present, the production promises to be faithful to the books of George RR Martin, who was also involved.
New Actors to Join Season 2 of ‘House of The Dragon’
For what concern new actors who would be in the next season of ‘House of The Dragon’, HBO Max hasn’t confirmed enough. The truth is, for months, even since the first season launched, there has been speculation that some of those joining the cast would be none other than the Marvel Studios star. elizabeth olsen (Scarlet Witch) and fellow Netflix and DC Henry Cavill (‘The witcher‘https://www.nacionflix.com/’Superman’), although there is nothing confirmed about it.
If all goes as planned by the production, the second season of the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series will premiere at the end of May 2024, although this is only an estimate confirmed by the CEO of HBO and we should wait for confirmation of the information, maybe at the end of 2023, or shortly before with the advances we could receive.
