‘Creed III’ enters the foreign ring at  million in its first two days and is on its way to an international bow of more than  million

MGM’s Creed III opened strongly at the international box office with the film, directed by Michael B. Jordan $6.9 million through Thursday in 56 markets.

The threequel, the first major title released by Warner Bros under a multi-year deal last August, has 19 more markets to add today and is expected to earn more than $30 million by Sunday. (Note that Svensk is published in Scandinavia.)

The best beginning for the end Rocky turnoff France at a clear number 1 on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s opening was 48% higher Creed II and 148% more than Believe the first. The cumulative amount from yesterday is $2.8 million.

Italy entered the ring at #1 for $590,000, 30% more than the original Believe and 20% behind the sequel, which kicked off the holidays in January.

In Germany ($525,000), leading man Jonathan Majors was also no. 1 in 122% Believe and 53% above Creed II. It scored the second best opening of 2023 behind Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which started on a Wednesday. Compared to titles with Thursday bows, Creed III has the most successful opening day in the market this year.

Mexico also in 1st place, with 86% more than on the opening day i believe and 40% behind Creed II. If you just look at the compositions from Thursday to Thursday in the different years, the results are more or less comparable Creed II.

Australia also landed a No. 1 hit at $313,000, 60% ahead of opening day i believe and 25% lower Creed II (The latter bowed out when the universities were out).
