The story centers on a small town plagued by monsters that eat children, and there is a mysterious young woman who has special powers to fight the creatures.

When the children of Archer’s Peak start disappearing, “everything seems hopeless. Most children never come back, but those who do have terrible stories, impossible stories of terrifying creatures that live in the shadows. Their only hope of finding and eliminating the threat is the arrival of a mysterious stranger, one who believes in children and claims to see what they can see. Her name is Erica Slaughter. She kills monsters.

The comic was co-created by the DC Comics writer James Tynion (Batman) AND Werther Dell’Ederaand ended up being one of the most successful English-language original comic series of the past five years, selling more than two million copies worldwide and winning multiple Eisner Awards including the 2022 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series .

Boom! Studios’ Stefano Cristi AND Ross Rich are the executive producers of the Netflix adaptation, with co-creators Tynion and Dell’Edera co-executive producers of the series.

Mike Flanagan AND Trevor Macy He had originally come on board to co-write a pilot for a potential Netflix series adaptation of the comic, but those plans fell through.

From what I’ve read of the comic so far, I’ve enjoyed this story. I loved these kinds of stories, and this is sure to be a great series!
