Broadway in Hollywood has updated their musical lineup for the 2023-24 season. The Pantages Theater stage will host touring productions from later this year MJ The Musical, The Wiz, Chicago The Musical, Girls Up North, Mrs. Doubtfire, Peter Pan And Company.
“We’re about to start something exciting,” Jeff Loeb, president of Broadway in Hollywood, said in a statement. “Our new seven-show season—featuring a pre-Broadway premiere, six Los Angeles premieres and the long-awaited return of an American classic—is reason enough to ease the way to the glorious Hollywood Pantages Theater.”
The season starts on December 20 mj the musical, based on the life and music of Michael Jackson. It continues with new productions of classics The wizard and spices Peter Pan and includes the production of the 25th anniversary of ChicagoTony Nominated for Best Musical 2022 Chase afterthe screen-to-stage adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire And girl from the north with music and lyrics by Bob Dylan.
Season pass packages are available today. As previously announced, Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of the Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon Les Misérables will be available as a season add-on for season ticket holders.
The first curtain went up in February 2019 at the Pantages on Broadway in Hollywood. Opened in 1930, the venerable Hollywood Boulevard venue, operated by the Nederlander Organization, was the site of Academy Awards in the 1950s and the site of many film premieres. The theater was renovated in 2000 and received a Preservation Award from the Los Angeles Conservancy the following year.
