It’s really happening! After years of rumors, reports and speculation, it has been officially announced that King of the Hill is getting a revival on Hulu! I couldn’t be more excited about this because I love King of the Hill! That was one of my favorite shows back then! This news makes me happy.
Creators Mike Judge And Greg Daniels will return and executive produce alongside the showrunner Saladin Patterson (The Wonder Years) and the original voice actors will also return! That cast includes Kathy Najimy, Stefano Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick And Lauren Tom.
Craig Erwich, president, ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television Originals Streaming said in a statement, “We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy and Bobby and see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we started years ago. This show has all the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in Hulu animation, and we are so grateful to have those conversations together with this talented group.
While we don’t have many more details to share, it was previously reported that if the show returned, it would be set 15 years after the original show ended and would center around the middle-class Hill family who lived normal lives in Texas. in the wake of Trump’s presidency.
During its original run, King of the Hill earned six Emmy nominations (winning one) for Outstanding Animated Program.
