and thunivu by Sarigama Cinemas (Tamil) is looking at a 3-day and a 4-day gross of $492,000 and $613,000 respectively.

As The whale, other specialty films are given a wider presence. utopias Holy Spider began its major nationwide expansion in week 12, timed to coincide with the start of Oscar voting and in the wake of the sold-out American Cinematheque tribute series in LA to writer/director Ali Abbasi. The film has been steadily expanding into major markets since late October, “but with this expansion, Utopia is starting to warm up to moviegoers outside of the usual major metropolitan areas,” according to the Distrib. Next week it will be further expanded regionally.
The film grossed an estimated $39.8,000 from 95 runs for a total of $261,000.
Jerry Skolimowski E.O from Sideshow/Janus Films moves on to earn an estimated $52,800 from 70 screens for $754 PSA and $653,246 in week nine (and $64,832 gross / $926 PSA / $665,278 dollars for the four days). E.O is now the #2 post-pandemic re-release on the NYC Film Forum, behind only Sideshow/Janus’ drive my car of the past year.
The Sideshow/Janus release of No bears expanded from NY to LA this weekend with an estimated $11,560 across two screens for $5,780 PSA and $53,148 Cume (for the four days – $13,660 gross / $6,830 PSA / $55,248 Cume). Jailed Iranian director Jafar Panahi’s film will expand to San Francisco and Chicago next week.
neons Real estate agent brought in $297,000 and $354,000 for the three- and four-day weekends, respectively, across 271 screens in week 4 for a total of $538.6k.
Documentary from Sony Pictures Classics Turn each page earned $16,896 across four screens (same as last week) for a solid $4,224 PSA and $66,830 Cume.
SKPs life expanded from 11 to 32 screens earning $88,182 for a PSA of $2,756 for a total of $219,764.
Of importance: Presenting Fathom Events Shin Ultraman grossed over $600,000 from showings last Wednesday and Thursday alone on 1,040 and 1,022 screens respectively.
