A video was shared on social media in which the actor Walker Scobell from ‘Project Adam’, appears practicing a battle scene with a sword in hand, making it clear that he is the one who brings the demigod Percy Jackson to life in the series that Disney+ is preparing for 2024, where he will have several fight scenes with the magical Anaklusmus.
The Series’Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is based on the first book in the vast juvenile saga written by Rick Riordanwhere a high school student discovers that his father is the god Poseidon and thousands of monsters are chasing him, so to defend himself he receives a magic sword that turns into a pen.
In Rick Riordan’s books, Percy Jackson’s sword is called Anaklusmos, and is made of celestial bronze, with the perfect balance so that the son of Poseidon can use it as he pleases and defend himself against thousands of mythological creatures who want to attack him; and in the Walker series Scobell will have to use it all the time to get into combat.
