Rian Johnson’s latest crime novel Glass Onion: A Mystery of Blades impressed Netflix, securing the top spot in the streamer’s English-language film charts for the week of December 26 – January 1.
The Benoit Blanc Mystery was watched 127.25 million hours in its first full week since its release, in addition to the 82.1 million hours it took home in its first two days on the platform.
Within 10 days, the film skyrocketed and became the third most watched Netflix film within 10 days of release. Red notice (364.02M) and Don’t look up (359.79 million). Netflix measures its most popular lists based on the first 28 days of viewing. glass onion is currently in 10th place, but it still have time to get higher.
knife out was also on last week’s film list at number 3 with 16.76 million hours watched. Matilda the Musical by Roald Dahl peaked at #2 with 41.1 million hours watched. Noah Baumbach white noise debuted with 14.75 million hours of views and debuted at #4.
As for television Wednesday still dominate. The Addams Family series was watched another 103.9 million hours. Emily in Paris Season 3 also remained in second place with another 95.3 million viewing hours. Season 1 and 2 were also in the top 10.
The Witcher: Origin of the Blood rose to #3 (from seventh the previous week) and racked up 64.5 million hours of views. Betrayal debuted in fourth place with 56.1 million hours watched.
Harry and Megan dropped from second to sixth place last week and racked up another 22.5 million hours of viewing. Fire flight range, sound fineand the recruit also made it to the list.
