The summons 4 is moving forward and will focus on another supernatural case involving paranormal investigator Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga). We don’t know exactly which case this movie will focus on, but there’s a chance this could be the last in the series.

This possibility was teased by Wan during an interview with Collider as he is promoting his upcoming horror film M3GAN. When asked about next Evocation movie and what the future holds for the franchise, producer James Wan She said:

“Yes, we are working on it right now. With the Conjuring movies, we’re very valuable [them]. And so we kind of just want to take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure that the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and moving, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it’s the right thing, the story right what we’re talking about.

I really appreciate the thought and care Wan and his team put into creating them Evocation movie. The next film is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickwhich he previously wrote and produced The summon 2 (2016) e The Conjuring: The devil made me do it (2021).

When asked if the next film would be the last, Wan replied, “We never know. You never know. We’ll see.” But one thing is for sure, one day this franchise will end. I love this horror franchise and don’t want to see it end anytime soon, but regardless of when it ends, I just want it to end on a high note with a great movie!
