“Tyler was an ambitious and hardworking actor who was dealing with severe and persistent depression”said David Sanders, who says his son was constantly looking for treatment to help him. “Tyler fell into drug abuse, not for social amusement, but to try to overcome his deep struggle with mental health”.

The couple are determined that his death will impact society and want to share “Tyler’s story in hopes of fostering conversation about this pervasive issue”says the father. Ginger Sanders says: “I want others to understand that we are a family that, like all the others, never thought this would happen to us”. She points out that despite having a strong support system around her, her teenage son “He couldn’t get over his lingering depression.
